Terms and Conditions

  1. Your pet must be fully vaccinated in line with our vaccination policy. Vaccination certificates must be shown each time a pet is booked in. We will not accept pets without up-to-date proof of vaccination and in these circumstances any deposit paid will be retained.
  2. All dogs must be up to date with worm and flea treatments (these must not be pet shop treatments). A record of proof of worm and flea treatment from your vet is preferred.  Pets that are found to have fleas or worms will be treated and a charge to cover the cost of any treatment and disinfecting will be added to your account.
  3. Your pet must be fit and well and you must make us aware of any conditions, allergies, medication or behavioural issues that may exist. You authorise us to contact your vet in order to obtain medical or behavioural advice or history relating to your pet. If it is necessary during the stay, you authorise us to contact our vet and give consent to any examination, investigation or treatment and accept that any veterinary fees incurred will be paid by you prior to your pet being removed from our premises.
  4. Whilst we make every effort to ensure that only healthy pets are accepted and that the highest hygienic conditions are maintained, we accept no responsibility for any injury caused, or escape and our boarding facilities are used entirely at your risk. We do not accept liability for any disease incubating, including kennel cough, or natural death occurring.
  5. Bitches in season will not be accepted under any circumstances. If a bitch comes into season during the stay they will be removed to the emergency contact and you will be charged for the full booked stay.
  6. We administer prescribed medication free of charge to manageable pets however should a pet risk causing harm to staff or itself whilst medication is being administered, it may be necessary for the pet to be cared for by our vet, either at Vale Farmhouse or at the vet’s surgery, and you accept that any veterinary fees incurred will be paid by you prior to your pet being removed from our premises.
  7. We reserve the right to remove to the emergency contact, any pet that we consider could be dangerous to our staff or other dogs in our care and in these circumstances any fees paid will be retained.
  8. The cost of any damage that your pet causes during their stay will be added to your account. Where two or more of your pets are sharing a room you accept responsibility for any incidents that occur and we reserve the right to board these pets separately and charge separate room rates should any problems arise during their stay.
  9. By signing this form, permission is given to socialise your dog(s) with others from different households. This includes sharing rooms with a dog or dogs from other households so that they can keep each other company.  All play is closely monitored, however dogs can be unpredictable and therefore you accept that during the course of normal dog play, it is possible that your dog may sustain injuries and that any veterinary fees incurred will be added to your account and paid by you prior to your pet being removed from our premises.
  10. We provide beds, sofas, throws and dog beds, however you may bring a dog bed or blanket with a scent of home. These must be marked with your pet’s name and we do not accept responsibility for their condition or safe return. Uncollected Items will be disposed of if not collected within 2 weeks of the departure date.
  11. All prices are per night, day or part-day. We charge for the night of the check-in date.  If the stay is less than a week, we charge for day care on the day of collection if the stay has rolled over into another 24 hour period.  Your pet can check-in or out any time during our opening hours, which we operate strictly. We reserve the right to operate a minimum 7-day stay during local school holidays.  We are closed for arrivals and departures on all bank holidays, although dogs may stay with us over these holiday periods.
  12. Prices quoted may be subject to change and boarding fees and VAT where applicable, will be charged at the prevailing rate at the time of payment. We accept payment by BACS, cash or debit card. We do not accept cheques and a 3% charge will be added to your account for payments made by credit card. You must settle your account in full, including any veterinary expenses, before your pet is removed from our premises.
  13. A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking and payment in full is due 4 weeks prior to arrival.
  14. The 25% deposit is fully refundable until 4 weeks prior to arrival. A refund may be requested via email to info@valefarmhouse.com or by post to Vale Farmhouse, Sparum Farm, Stanklyn Lane, Summerfield, DY10 4HS.  Refunds will be processed using the original method of payment or despatched by cheque within 7 days of the request being received.

  16. All dates booked are chargeable in full unless 4 weeks’ notice prior to the date of arrival is given. If you collect early you will be charged for the dates that you booked. If you do not notify us of a cancellation we reserve the right to charge in full for the period booked. Once we have sent an email confirmation of booking from our booking system, this cancellation policy applies.  All notices of cancellation must be made in writing or by email.  We cannot guarantee to record telephone cancellations.
  17. We only use our own images on our website and marketing material. Your consent for your pet to be photographed or used in any media or advertising by Vale Farmhouse is assumed unless you notify us otherwise in writing.
  18. We reserve the right to re-home or otherwise dispose of any pet not collected within 14 days from the agreed collection date if no written correspondence has been received and if payment is not received.
